Common questions
Is GridDrop really free?
Yes, completely. GridDrop is free to use with no limits — unlimited grids, unlimited downloads, no account required. The site is supported by ads.
Does GridDrop store my data?
No. GridDrop runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you create is sent to any server. Your downloaded files go straight to your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What resolution are the exported PNGs?
GridDrop exports at 3× resolution (effectively 3× the page dimensions in pixels), which is sharp enough for Retina displays, iPad screens, and standard printing.
How do I use the PNG as a GoodNotes template?
In GoodNotes, go to Settings → Templates → New Template → tap the + button → choose your downloaded PNG file. It will appear as a custom template when you create a new page.
How do I use it in Notability?
In Notability, tap the + button to create a new note, then tap the wrench icon → Paper Lines → Custom → import your PNG. It will tile as your note background.
Can I generate a multi-page notebook?
Yes. Toggle on Page Number, set your total pages (up to 50), and hit download. You'll get a ZIP file with each page individually numbered, ready to import as a multi-page template.
What's the difference between Grid and Dot Grid?
Grid shows full lines forming a traditional squared grid. Dot Grid places dots at each intersection instead — popular for bullet journaling and minimalist layouts because it's less visually busy.
What is Cornell Notes format?
Cornell Notes is a note-taking layout developed at Cornell University. It divides the page into a narrow cue column on the left (for keywords), a wide notes area on the right, and a summary section at the bottom. It's widely used for studying and lecture notes.
